Fossil Age vs Radioactive Dating, according to Prof A M Cvancarra, Uni Nth Dakota USA.
“You may surmise that with the arrival of radiometric dating fossils have lost favour in dating rocks or in their correlation, the demonstration of equivalency or strata from one place to another…. Not so. Most igneous rocks which almost always lack fossils can be dated radiometrically, but many sedimentary rocks, which usually do contain fossils cannot. In addition dated particles of igneous rocks and minerals from sedimentary rocks yield ages generally too old for the sedimentary strata. … Most geologic correlations based on fossils tend to be more precise than those based on radiometric dating.”
