World to end in 2011 claims an organisation called eBible Fellowship. In their tract entitled Judgment Day! May 21, 2011 we are told: “On May 21st, Judgment Day will begin and the rapture (the taking up into heaven of God’s elect people) will occur at the end of the 23-year great tribulation. On October 21st the world will be destroyed by fire (7000 years from the flood; 13,023 years from creation).”
Editorial Comment: As we make no apologies for being a Christian creationist organisation, who firmly believe Jesus is the Creator God of Genesis as well as Saviour and Lord of the Gospels, we do get asked about end times, so here is our final comment on eBible Fellowship’s claim: When Jesus’ disciples asked Him about the end of the world He told them what kinds of things would happen before the end comes and what it will be like, but He clearly stated that only the Father in Heaven knows when the end will come. No human beings or angels, i.e. no created beings, including the folk at eBible Fellowship, know the day or hour. (Matthew 24: 36) Therefore, we predict the world will not end on either 21st May or 21st October 2011, and we look forward with interest to what eBible Fellowship will say on 22nd October 2011.
