USA’S Eugenie Scott, described in the journal Science, vol 295, p2009 15 March 2002 as “a tireless battler against the forces of darkness on the evolution front” (that evolution speak for Creation Research) has received the 2002 Public Service award from the National Science Board (of the USA). Dr Scott is executive director of the National Center for Science Education based at the University of California, Berkeley. On receiving the award she said it “highlights the importance of taking the anti-evolution movement seriously. We need to realize that we have to be in this for the long haul.”
Editorial Comment: Having debated Eugenie Schott on Public Radio, it is good to know she is taking us seriously. The debate showed one thing – she doesn’t take knowledge seriously. Her understanding of evolution was abysmal and her lack of concern for the truth just as poor. Creation Research is in for the long haul, and with your support, will continue to produce educational materials and send out speakers to schools, colleges and universities.
