Gays out as Russian Orthodox Church suspends ties with US Episcopal Church. The Russian Orthodox Moscow Patriarch stated the church “cannot condone the perversion of human nature … Biblical passages that condemn homosexuality are clear and unequivocal.” (The Tennessean, Nov 18 p 3A). In the USA the Episcopal Bishop of Tennessee, Bertram Herlong, “will not recognise the newly elected gay bishop of New Hampshire (Gene Robinson).” (The Tennessean Thursday Nov 20 p 31).
