Dawkins on the Tsunami, as quoted in The Guardian 30 December 2004.
Well known atheists and evolutionist Richard Dawkins is on record stating: “Not only does science know why the tsunami (on 26 December 2004) happened, it can give precious hours of warning. If a small fraction of the tax breaks handed out to churches, mosques and synagogues had been diverted into an early warning system, tens of thousands of people, now dead, would have been moved to safety. Let’s get up off our knees, stop cringing before bogeymen and virtual fathers, face reality, and help science to do something constructive about human suffering.”
Editorial Comment: If we want to keep Dawkins’ fundamentalist evolutionary framework, then Tsunami’s are just another form of natural selection which contribute one more meaningless episode to man’s pointless evolution. Why then help people who are suffering and dying on already over-crowded planet? Dawkins atheistic evolutionism provides no empowering motivation to achieve this.
